Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – L&G, Forvis Mazars

has brought back one of its senior figures, Uday Patnaik (main picture), head of Asia fixed income and global head of emerging market debt. 

As part of the process, Patnaik has moved to Singapore.

Patnaik first joined L&G’s Asset Management division in April 2014 as head of emerging market debt and led its emerging market debt capabilities within the active fixed income team. Prior to this, he served as chief investment officer at Gulf International Bank (UK) Ltd and held trading and institutional positions at Bear Stearns in London and Merrill Lynch in New York, respectively.

L&G had $1.4 trillion in AuM as of the middle of last year; about 40 per cent of this money is international.

, an accounting and consulting firm, has appointed one of its partners, Rudi Lang (pictured below), as Asia-Pacific financial services industry leader, based in Singapore. Lang has been a partner with the firm for more than 27 years.

To carry out his new role, Lang will be relocating from London, where he had been global head of financial services.

“As the financial services industry evolves, particularly in sustainability, regulatory compliance, and innovative financial solutions, Rudi’s leadership will be pivotal in driving our strategy, strengthening our market position, and ultimately driving growth in the region,” Rick Chan, member of the group governing board and managing partner of Forvis Mazars in Singapore and head of audit and assurance, APAC, said.

Lang has worked in Germany, as well as in the UK; his experience spans leading complex, cross-border audits, large-scale European restructuring, special risk management assignments for international banking clients, and acting as a monitoring trustee in high-profile state aid and merger control cases. He is a German Certified Chartered Accountant and a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He holds a master's degree in economics and finance theory from the University of Cologne.
